Description
Overview
The 3HR750-140 is a 750 W, 72 V DC solar borehole pump kit that lifts water up to 140 m at up to 2 m³/h. It goes into boreholes, wells, rivers, dams and tanks with an internal diameter of 80 mm (3 inch) or more, and Kamano delivers it nationwide.
The 3HR series uses 304 stainless steel, which is more corrosion-resistant and better suited to acidic, saline or harder water, and the 750 W model reaches 140 m. The kit includes the pump and its matching DC controller, with a brushless DC motor, copper windings, a stainless steel shaft and coupling, a wear-resistant rubber stator and graphite bearings. Soft-start control guards against under-voltage, over-voltage, overload and dry running.
Plan on an array of about 1,200 W, for example 3 standard 400 W panels wired together. That is more than the pump rating on purpose. The 3HR750-140 suits water levels up to about 105 m. Choose a model rated for 25 to 30% more head than your actual water level, to allow for pipe friction and a falling water table.

Where it works
This is a small-flow, high-lift pump: garden and household supply, stock troughs, school and clinic water points and small drip systems, from Limpopo to the Karoo. The wider range runs 3HRI210-80, 3HRI300-100, 3HR1200-180 and more, so ask us if your water level is deeper. See our solar pump range, including the 500W 3HR solar pump at 120 m head and the 500W 3HRI solar pump in 201 stainless.
What’s in the box
- 3 inch class solar borehole pump
- Matching DC controller

Questions about this product
How many solar panels does the 3HR750-140 need?
Plan on about 1,200 W of panels, for example 3 standard 400 W panels wired together. The array is larger than the 750 W pump on purpose, so the pump still reaches full power on cloudy days and after cable and controller losses. Your installer or our team can confirm the layout for your site.
What water level suits the 3HR750-140?
It is recommended for water levels up to about 105 m, against a maximum head of 140 m. Measure the depth to the water itself, not the total borehole depth, and pick a pump rated 25 to 30% above that to allow for pipe friction. Not sure? Contact us before ordering.
What is the difference between the 3HR and 3HRI ranges?
The 3HRI range uses 201 stainless steel and is the more affordable choice for clean, neutral borehole water. The 3HR range uses 304 stainless steel, which resists corrosion better and suits acidic, saline or harder water, and it also extends to the deeper 140 m and 180 m models.
How fast is delivery and what does it cost?
Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days. This kit ships at about 10 kg, so delivery falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550, and orders of R20,000 or more are delivered free. Tell us your town for a time estimate.
