Description

Overview

This combo is a 2500 L horizontal water tank supplied with a 50 mm petrol clear-water pump and the hoses to empty it, so you can cart water to a site and pump it out where there is no mains power. It suits farms and building sites, and Kamano delivers it nationwide.

The tank is rotationally moulded from virgin LLDPE with moulded ribs and a black inner liner against algae. It is 2280 mm long, 1540 mm wide and 1130 mm high and weighs 100 kg. The petrol pump is an air-cooled four-stroke OHV with recoil start and a 2.5 L fuel tank, moving up to 600 L/min through 50 mm ports. A Turner Morris or a Briggs and Stratton pump is supplied depending on availability.

Options

Choose a Green or a Tan tank. Both come with the same pump, hoses and nipple, and both are R 14,116 (VAT incl.). Engine oil is needed to run and maintain the pump and is not supplied.

Where it works

Farmers in Limpopo and the Free State use it to water stock and spray rigs where no supply exists. Building contractors in Gauteng cart water for compaction and mixing, and small mines in Mpumalanga use it for dust control. Always strap the tank down before loading water, because water is heavy and shifts on the move. Baffle balls or a tube help.

Will it work without mains power?

Yes. The pump is a petrol, recoil-start unit, so it runs anywhere. Add petrol and engine oil, connect the suction and layflat hoses and pump. It moves up to 600 L/min through its 50 mm ports.

Which pump brand do I get?

Either a Turner Morris or a Briggs and Stratton pump, depending on availability. The specifications listed are for the Turner Morris TM-S-FGP20. Ask us before ordering if you need a particular one.

Can I carry the tank on a bakkie?

It is designed for transport and stationary use, but at 2500 L the water weighs 2.5 tonnes, so check your vehicle rating and strap the tank down. Add baffle balls to cut sloshing. Delivery is quoted at about 135 kg.
