Description

Overview

This combo is a 5000 L horizontal water tank with a 50 mm petrol clear-water pump and a hose set, built for carting water on a truck or trailer and pumping it out at the destination. Kamano delivers it nationwide, ready to fit and use.

The tank is rotationally moulded from virgin LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free, with a safety lid and a black liner that stops algae. It is 2500 mm long, 2200 mm wide and 1480 mm high, and it weighs 175 kg empty. The petrol pump is an air-cooled four-stroke OHV with recoil start, delivering up to 600 L/min through 50 mm ports. A Turner Morris or a Briggs and Stratton pump is supplied, depending on availability.

Choose a Green or a Tan tank. Both include the same pump and hoses, and both cost R 21,340 (VAT incl.). Engine oil is needed to run the pump and is not supplied.

Municipalities in the Eastern Cape and KZN cart emergency water to communities when a supply fails, and farms in the Free State carry stock water to remote camps. How fast does the pump empty a 5000 L tank?

The pump is rated at up to 600 L/min, so a full 5000 L tank could empty in roughly nine minutes at maximum flow. Real flow depends on hose length, lift and delivery height, so expect a little longer with the 15 m layflat.

Can I mount the tank on a truck?

The tank is made for transport and stationary use. Secure it to the chassis, fit baffle balls or a tube to cut surge, and check your vehicle rating, since the water alone weighs five tonnes. Kamano does not install the tank.

Do you deliver to Richards Bay and Pietermaritzburg?
