Description

Overview

This 2,200 L vertical water tank is a compact round tank, 1300 mm across and 1800 mm tall, that suits a house, small farm or workshop. It is rotationally moulded from food-grade virgin LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free, with a black inner liner that keeps light out and slows algae.

A 430 mm child-safe lid gives access for cleaning, and sealed 40 mm connectors come standard: a 40 mm inlet at the top and a 40 mm outlet at the base. Ribs add strength, and the 1.0 specific gravity rating means it is made for water. It weighs only 35 kg empty, so one or two people can place it on a prepared base. It is used for domestic and commercial storage and for livestock water.

Where it works

Put it under a roof gutter for rainwater harvesting in KZN or Gauteng, beside a borehole in Limpopo as a small buffer, or behind a workshop for washing and dust control. The outlet at the base feeds a pump or gravity line. Check you have the height and diameter on site, and stand the tank on a flat, firm base. Secure it once it is full, and use it above ground only.

A flat, firm, compacted base. A filled 2,200 L tank holds about 2.2 tonnes of water, so avoid soft ground. Check you have enough clear height and diameter, 1800 mm high and 1300 mm wide, and secure the tank once it is full.

Can I add a pump to this tank?

Yes. The 40 mm base outlet is made to feed a pump or gravity line. We also sell tank and pump combos in 2,200 L, so ask us if you want the pump supplied together.
