Overview

This 15,000 L vertical water tank is a free-standing round tank, 2600 mm across and 3200 mm tall, for properties that need serious storage in one shell. It is rotationally moulded from food-grade virgin LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free, with a black inner liner that keeps light out and slows algae.

A 450 mm child-safe lid gives access for inspection and cleaning, and sealed 40 mm connectors are supplied: a 40 mm inlet at the top and a 50/40 mm outlet at the base. The rib design adds strength, and the tank is rated at a specific gravity of 1.0, meaning it is made for water. It is used for domestic and commercial storage and for livestock water. It ships empty, and you arrange where it is placed on your site.

Where it works

A tank this size buffers a borehole with a slow yield, feeds a pivot or drip block on a Free State grain farm, or holds standby supply for a mine camp, school or municipal site. Rainwater harvesting off a large roof in KZN or the Western Cape also fills it fast. Filled, it carries about 15 tonnes, so the base must be engineered and level. Tank stands are not included, and a filled tank must be secured. Do not bury it or use it for any moving application.
