The 4000 L underground water tank is a mid-size buried reserve, 1900 mm across and 1650 mm high, for properties that cannot spare space above ground. The LLDPE wall is extra thick to withstand soil pressure, resists root penetration and keeps animals out, and the plastic will not biodegrade underground. It holds drinking water or grey water. Where it works

This size suits larger homes, guest farms in Limpopo, vineyards and olive estates in the Western Cape, and commercial yards in Gauteng that harvest roof water. Appoint a qualified builder or plumber. Test the ground for groundwater or clay soils, fit a breather so the tank does not collapse when pumped out, and keep vehicles and heavy loads off the area above. It is not a septic tank.
