20 Inch Slim Pleated Filter Cartridge, 5 Micron, Code PCS20-5

Description

Overview

Keep your slim filter set working with this 20 inch Slim pleated cartridge, code PCS20-5. It filters sediment at 5 micron and replaces the cartridge in compatible 20 inch Slim housings.

The pleated media captures sand, rust, dirt, mud and silt, which improves clarity and protects the stages behind it. The pleats give a large surface while keeping flow good. A fresh cartridge also takes load off pumps, plumbing and other components. Replacement is straightforward: pull the used cartridge out and fit a new compatible one.

Where it works

This is a first-stage cartridge for three-stage systems, rainwater harvesting, borehole filtration and municipal supply. It also works as pre-filtration before GAC and carbon block cartridges and before suitable UV units. Homes, small offices and guest houses in Limpopo, Gauteng and the Eastern Cape use this size. Check it often and swap it when it is dirty. Turn off the water and release the pressure before opening the housing, then check that the O-ring sits flat when you close it. Keep a spare on the shelf, because a blocked cartridge starves the taps and the stages behind it.
