Stainless Steel Cover for Big Blue Filter System, 850 x 900 mm

Description

Overview

This stainless steel cover goes over a Big Blue filter system and keeps it neat, shaded and tamper proof. It measures 850 mm wide, 900 mm high and 230 mm deep, and it hangs on the wall like a picture.

Sunlight is a real problem for filter canisters. UV can damage the plastic and feed algae growth inside the housings. The cover shades the whole set-up and also hides pipework behind a clean, professional front. The stainless steel will not rust, and it protects against knocks from people, bakkies and passing equipment. Openings in the base let the water pipes enter and leave.

Where it works

Filter systems often sit on an outside wall in full sun, which is hard on plastic canisters. This cover suits homes in Gauteng and the Western Cape, farm sheds in Limpopo, schools and guesthouses where the filters are visible to guests or children. It also stops curious hands from closing valves or opening housings. Mount it on a solid wall with two good bolts.
