Where it works

AdBlue is the obvious use in South Africa: truck depots, mines and farms with diesel engines that need DEF now buy it by the drum, and a stainless tube keeps the product clean. Chemical stores, workshops and cleaning contractors in Gauteng and KZN use it for compatible liquids. Farms in the Western Cape move agrochemicals with it. Check your chemical against the SS304 material before use. Not for petrol.

Can I use this pump for AdBlue?

Yes. The stainless-steel 304 tube is specified for diesel, AdBlue and many chemicals. Keep the pump and hoses dedicated to AdBlue once you use it, because even small amounts of diesel contaminate the fluid and can damage a vehicle's exhaust treatment system.

Does it run off a bakkie or truck battery?

Yes. It is a 12V DC pump at 300 W. Connect it to a 12V battery with the engine running and use proper clamps. A 24V truck system will not suit it directly, so use a 12V battery tap or a separate battery.

Is it safe for petrol or solvents?

No. It is not rated for petrol, and its standard DC motor is not explosion-proof. For petrol or volatile liquids, use an explosion-proof pump instead. Always check any chemical against the SS304 material before pumping it.
