Overview

This is a 10 inch, 5 micron polypropylene sediment cartridge for standard Big Blue 10 inch filter housings, model FCPP5-10. It removes sand, silt, rust, mud and suspended solids before they reach your taps, which keeps water clearer and protects pipes and appliances. The fine 5 micron media captures smaller particles while the polypropylene construction keeps water flowing well. Where it works

It suits municipal supplies, borehole water and rainwater harvesting systems. Borehole water in Limpopo and the Free State often carries fine sand and silt, and tank water in KZN or the Western Cape collects roof dust and sediment; this cartridge catches both. It also works as pre-filtration ahead of activated carbon filters and UV purification, because removing sediment first stops those stages clogging or being shielded from the light.

Replace the cartridge every 12 months, or sooner if your water carries a lot of sediment or flow becomes restricted. A cartridge that has clogged forces the pump to work harder, so change it when pressure drops. For a wall mount, add the Big Blue 10 inch housing bracket.

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, including Johannesburg, Durban, Kimberley, Polokwane, Welkom and Gqeberha. Delivery is charged by total order weight: up to 30 kg R550, 30 to 60 kg R950, 60 to 100 kg R1,450, and over 100 kg on quotation. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free.
