Big Blue 20 Inch Single Filter Housing, 1 Inch Ports

Description

Overview

This is a Big Blue 20 inch single filter housing with 1 inch ports, model code 10007/2, for houses and small sites that need a longer cartridge and more filter area than the 10 inch size offers. It gives you one filtration stage, and it removes sand, rust, mud and chlorine and improves the taste, colour and odour of water once the right cartridge is fitted. It is supplied as the housing only, with no accessories. Compare it with the 10 inch single housing, or step up to the 20 inch set of 3 in a frame. See all water filters.

• Big Blue 20 inch size, single filtration stage
• 1 inch inlet and outlet ports
• Removes sand, rust, mud and chlorine with the right cartridge
• Helps improve the taste, colour and odour of water
• Easy to install and to attach to a wall
• Supplied as the housing only with no accessories

Where it works

A 20 inch cartridge has roughly twice the filter surface of a 10 inch one, so it holds more dirt and lasts longer between changes. That makes it a good choice on a borehole supply in Limpopo, on a farm homestead in the Free State, or on the main feed of a larger house or guesthouse in KZN or Gauteng, where flow is high and sediment load is heavy.

Choose the cartridge to suit the problem: polypropylene sediment for sand and silt, activated carbon for chlorine, taste and smell. Fit isolation valves on both sides so you can change the cartridge without draining the whole system, and leave enough clearance below the housing to lower the bowl. Check the seal before you open the water, and open it slowly.
