Overview

The C120 is a used IBC tank: a 1000 litre chemical-grade HDPE bottle in a steel cage on a pallet, with a top lid and bottom valve, sold in used condition. It is the cheapest way to add a cubic metre of liquid storage to your yard, and it still moves by forklift or pallet jack like any other IBC.

Used tanks show their working life: scuffed cages, a stained bottle, maybe some labels. They suit rough jobs where looks do not count. If you prefer a cleaner unit, step up to the reconditioned C145. For livestock or drinking water choose the used 600 L food-grade IBC.

Where it works

Contractors on Gauteng building sites, brickmakers in Limpopo and dust-suppression crews on Mpumalanga mine roads all use a used IBC tank where it may take a few knocks. Farmers use them for spray-water mixing and catching borehole overflow. Car washes stack two or three behind the wash bay as a reserve when municipal pressure drops, and road camps use them as a simple shower or hand-wash supply. Questions about this product

What did this used IBC hold before?

Used IBCs come from industrial users, and the previous contents vary from tank to tank. That is why this one is sold as chemical grade for non-food uses only. If your application is sensitive to residues, ask us what the unit held, or rather choose a reconditioned or new tank.

Can I use a used IBC for mixing concrete water or brickmaking?

Yes, that is one of the best uses for a used tank. Brickyards and building sites need plenty of clean-enough water close to the mixer, and the bottom valve lets you fill buckets quickly. Fit a hose to the valve if you want to feed the mixer directly.

Is the valve on a used tank reliable?

Every unit comes with its bottom valve, but valves on used tanks can be stiff or weep slightly after years of service. Check it when the tank arrives and replace the seal if needed. If a working valve is critical for your setup, tell us when you order and we will check it before dispatch.
