Description

Overview

This reconditioned IBC tank is a 1000 litre chemical-grade container, code C145, that has been through a reconditioning process before resale. You get the full IBC package, a polyethylene bottle in a steel cage on a pallet with a top lid and bottom valve, at a price below the as-new grades.

Reconditioning is the middle ground between used and as-new. Expect some cosmetic marks on the cage and a bottle that has seen service. If appearance matters, the as-new C185 or black C185B are a small step up in price.

Key features

  • 1000 L chemical-grade HDPE bottle
  • Reconditioned before resale
  • Steel cage and pallet with forklift pockets
  • Top lid for filling, bottom valve for draw-off
  • Lower cost per litre of storage than new or as-new tanks

Where it works

A reconditioned IBC tank is the workhorse of many Limpopo and North West farms: water for spraying, liquid fertiliser beside the planter, or a catch tank for borehole water. Brickyards, car washes and road contractors use them for process water, and Free State grain farmers buy several at once at harvest. On game farms in the Waterberg they double as emergency water points when a borehole pump fails, and in workshops they catch used oil for recycling. View all options in our IBC tanks range.

Questions about this product

What is the difference between reconditioned and used?

A reconditioned IBC has been through a cleaning and inspection process before resale, while a used tank is sold in the condition it came out of service. Reconditioned units cost a little more than used ones but less than as-new grades. Ask us for photos of the current stock if you want to compare.

Is a reconditioned IBC good for borehole water?

Yes, for irrigation, livestock troughs, cleaning and building work it is a sensible choice. Because this is a chemical-grade bottle, do not use it for drinking water. Shade it or paint the cage area to cut down on algae, and fit a strainer on the outlet if you feed a pump.

Do you sell these in bulk for farms?

Yes, many customers order several at once for harvest or spraying season. Mixed orders of IBCs, pumps and fittings that reach R20,000 including VAT ship free, which works out well for farmers stocking up. Send us the quantity and your location and we will confirm the load.

How much is delivery for one tank?

This IBC ships at 60 kg, so on its own it falls in the 30 to 60 kg band at R950 anywhere in South Africa. Our own trucks leave from Polokwane and usually arrive in 1 to 3 days. Adding even a small item can move the order into the next band at R1,450.
