Overview

This Trio panel controls and protects a pump motor up to 5 kW. It is built around the Motorscope principle: the panel measures the power the motor draws and keeps the pump running only while that power stays inside a safe range. A reading outside the range points to a fault, such as a pump running dry or a blocked line.

Calibration is simple. Run the motor under normal working conditions and press the calibration button with the jumper in place, and the panel stores the safe limits for that system. It also checks continuously that the supply is correct and stable. An RS232 output links to the Optimizer or a PC for finer settings and detailed fault indication, and the Optimizer holds the last 43 motor stops.

Where it works

Borehole pumps on Limpopo and Northern Cape farms, irrigation pumps in the Free State and Western Cape, and dewatering pumps at Mpumalanga mines all suit this kind of panel. If your starter already exists, the Motorscope on its own may be enough. For bigger motors, step up to the panel for pumps up to 7.5 kW.

Shipping weight is 8 kg, so this item sits in the R550 (up to 30 kg) delivery band. Delivery fees are set by total order weight: up to 30 kg R550, 30 to 60 kg R950, 60 to 100 kg R1,450, and over 100 kg on quotation. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free.
