100 L EPDM Replacement Bladder for Pressure Tanks

Description

Overview

This is a 100 litre EPDM replacement bladder that fits vertical and horizontal pressure tanks with a volume of 100 litres. When the old bladder perishes or splits, the tank fills with water, the air cushion is gone and the pump cycles on and off. A new bladder restores that cushion without buying a whole new vessel. See more parts under pump controllers and VSDs.

Key features

• 100 litre volume
• EPDM rubber bladder
• Fits vertical and horizontal pressure tanks of 100 L
• Replaces a perished, split or waterlogged bladder
• Lower cost than a new pressure vessel
• Keeps the pump from short-cycling once the tank is working again

Where it works

A pressure tank with a good bladder lets a booster pump rest between cycles and keeps taps and irrigation lines at a steady pressure. Borehole and booster systems on farms in Limpopo and the Free State, and household pressure sets in Gauteng, usually need a new bladder after years of service or after the pre-charge was neglected.

Warning signs are rapid pump cycling, water hammer and water coming out of the air valve. If you are upgrading the pump control as well, look at the 1.5 kW 220 V variable speed drive or the 1.5 kW 380 V drive. Confirm your tank is a 100 L unit before ordering, and ask us if the fitting is unclear.
