Overview

This threaded tank connector joins low-density polyethylene pipe to a tank outlet in 20 mm or 25 mm. It is a nylon insert and threaded fitting for Class 3 and Class 6 LDPE pipe, which is the black poly pipe used on most South African irrigation and stock-water lines. Options

Two sizes are available, each a single connector, VAT incl.: 20 mm, R 36; 25 mm, R 38. Choose the size that matches your poly pipe. Confirm the size with us if you are unsure.

Where it works

Use it where a poly pipe leaves a tank, for example to run water to a drip line, a garden, a trough or a small orchard. Citrus and vegetable farmers in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, vineyards in the Western Cape and smallholders in KZN all run LDPE off tanks like this. Fit it to a threaded port, then push the pipe on. Pair it with the 40 mm red fitting for the tank port, or use a 40/20 mm reducing bush to step a 40 mm port down to 20 mm.
