Description

Overview

This 20mm diesel hose comes in a 12 m length: rubber fuel hose with a 20 mm bore that carries diesel from a transfer pump to the nozzle. The extra two metres over a standard 10 m length let you reach the far side of a vehicle or across a workshop bay without moving the tank.

A 20 mm bore matches the outlet of most 12 V and 220 V transfer pumps in the 40 to 60 L/min class, and it stays light and easy to drag around a yard at about 0.4 kg per metre. The rubber wall handles diesel and stays flexible in a Highveld winter. Pressure rating and end fittings are not listed, so tell us your pump outlet and nozzle size when ordering. Need the right partner parts? Look at the 12V 40 L/min diesel pump and the 25 mm dirt trap filter.

Where it works

A 12 m hose suits workshop fill stations in Polokwane and Mbombela, where the tank sits against a wall and vehicles park a few metres off, and plant yards where TLBs and rollers have filler necks on the far side. It also works on farm stands that refuel a tractor and planter in one stop. Browse the rest of our diesel pumps and accessories.

Questions about this product

Will 12 m of 20 mm hose fit on a hose reel?

Yes. Our small manual hose reel holds 20 m of 20 mm hose, so 12 m of this hose fits with room to spare. The reels are sold without hose, which is why buyers order the two together. A reel keeps the hose off the ground, away from sun damage and out of the way of vehicles.

Which pumps suit a 20 mm diesel hose?

A 20 mm bore suits most 12 V pumps around 40 L/min and 220 V pumps up to about 60 L/min. Faster pumps of 70 L/min and above, and gravity kits, push more fuel through a 25 mm hose with less back-pressure, so the pump runs cooler and the fill is quicker.

How much is delivery to Mbombela?

This hose ships at about 5 kg, which puts it in the up to 30 kg band at R550 anywhere in South Africa, Mbombela included. Add it to a pump, reel or bowser order and the band is worked out on the total weight. Orders of R20,000 or more including VAT ship free from Polokwane.

Does the hose come with fittings on the ends?

The listing is for the 12 m length of hose. End fittings are not specified, so tell us your pump outlet thread and nozzle inlet when you order and we will confirm what is on the hose or quote the hose tails and clamps you need to finish the job.
