Overview

This O-ring seals the lid of the Superflo pool pump. A flat, stretched or cracked lid O-ring lets air into the pump, which causes bubbles in the basket and loss of prime. Where it works

This is the first thing to check when a pool pump struggles to prime or shows air bubbles in the strainer basket. It is a regular job for pool owners and service technicians in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape, where the sun hardens rubber over the years. Remove the old O-ring, clean the groove, and fit the new one with a thin smear of lubricant so it seats evenly. Change it whenever the lid is replaced.
