Superflo Pool Pump Lid, Clear Replacement

Description

Overview

This clear lid is the replacement lid for the Superflo pool pump strainer basket housing. Because it is transparent, you can check the strainer basket for leaves and debris without opening the pump. It also seals the top of the housing, so a cracked lid lets air into the system and the pump loses prime. The part code is 500-6097. More spares and pumps are in our pool, pond and spa equipment range.

Where it works

Pump lids crack from years of sun, heat and over-tightening, especially on exposed pool pads in Limpopo, the Northern Cape and Gauteng where summer temperatures are high. A cracked lid draws air, and the telltale signs are bubbles in the basket and a pump that struggles to hold its prime. Replace a cracked lid quickly, and fit a new lid O-ring at the same time for a proper airtight seal. Switch the power off and release pressure before you open the pump. Look at the mechanical shaft seal and the 0.75 kW Swimflo 2 pool pump for other service items. Not sure it fits? Send us a photo of your pump or its label and we will confirm before you order.
