Pool Pump Strainer Basket, Yellow, Superflo 2 and Swimflo 2

Description

Overview

This yellow strainer basket is the replacement basket for Superflo 2 and Swimflo 2 pool pumps. It sits in the pump housing and catches leaves and debris before they reach the impeller, which keeps the pump flowing and protects it from blockages. The part code is 500-6190. It does not fit the older Superflo 1 pump, so check your model before you order. More spares are in our pool, pond and spa equipment range.

Where it works

Leaves are the main enemy of a pool pump in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and the Western Cape in autumn, and a basket that cracks or warps lets debris through to the impeller. Replace a cracked basket straight away to protect the pump. Switch the pump off, release pressure, open the lid, lift the old basket out and drop the new one in. Check the lid O-ring while you have the pump open, and if it is flat or cracked, replace it. Browse the 0.75 kW Swimflo 2 pool pump if the whole pump is due for replacement, and keep a shaft seal as a spare. Not sure it fits? Send us a photo of your pump or its label and we will confirm before you order.
