Overview

This cartridge mechanical seal, code 95020103, is the replacement shaft seal for DL pumps in the DL8, DL12, DL16 and DL20 families, in all stage sizes. It stops water leaking out where the pump shaft passes through towards the motor end.

When the seal wears you will see water dripping or spraying below the motor. Replace it quickly, because water running into the motor bearings will destroy the motor. The cartridge type arrives as a complete, pre-set assembly, which makes it easier to fit correctly than loose seal parts.

Fit a new seal whenever you replace the hydraulic stack, and never run the pump dry: a few minutes dry can burn the seal faces. To pick the right seal, check the model on your pump nameplate.
