Overview

This combo is a complete off-grid pressure booster system built around the SQB250 solar booster pump. Everything needed to boost water pressure from a tank using solar power is in the box: pump, solar controller, solar regulator, 5-way connector, pressure switch, pressure gauge, flexible hose, pressure tank and non-return valve. The pump runs on 250 W at 24 V DC and gives up to 30 m of head and up to 2000 litres an hour.

The kit saves you the guesswork of matching parts. The controller and regulator are supplied for the pump, the pressure tank and switch keep the supply steady, and the non-return valve stops water draining back to the tank. All you add are the panels. Plan on about 400 W of solar panels, for example one standard 400 W panel, which is more than the 250 W pump on purpose to cover cloudy days and losses. Where it works

The combo suits off-grid cottages, farmhouses, lodges and gardens in Limpopo, the Karoo and KZN, where it lifts water from a rainwater tank or storage tank to a house, a shower or a drip line without needing Eskom. It is a booster for moderate lifts, not a deep borehole pump.
