Septic Tank Starter Tablets, Tub of 10 for Larger Tanks

Description

Overview

This tub of 10 septic tank starter tablets introduces bacteria and enzymes into a tank to help break down waste and keep the system healthy. It is made for larger installations, with tanks over 1000 L, and the dosing chart below shows how many tablets each size needs.

When a tablet dissolves it releases the bacteria and enzymes, which digest solids and turn them into liquid the system can process. The bacteria are chosen for breaking down proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and the enzymes speed things up by splitting large molecules into smaller ones. Use the tablets to kick-start a new tank and again every six months.

Key features

• 10 tablets per tub
• Bacteria and enzymes digest organic matter
• Intended for tanks over 1000 L
• Kick-start the system every six months
• Helps prevent solids building up in the tank
• Chart-based dosing for sizes from 1000 L to 12 500 L

Where it works

Dose by tank size, per tablet count in the chart: 1000 L, 1 tablet; 1750 L, 2; 2500 L, 2; 4000 L, 2; 5000 L, 3; 6000 L, 3; 9000 L, 4; 12 500 L, 4. That suits lodges, schools, farm compounds and mine camps, where one tub covers several doses across a few tanks.

Tablets help, but they are not a substitute for proper maintenance. Have the tank pumped and inspected by a professional at regular intervals. For a small tank under 1000 L, the single septic tank starter tablet is the cheaper way to buy. See the full septic tank range for tanks, pipe and fittings.
