Overview

This septic tank starter tablet gets a new tank working by adding bacteria and enzymes that digest organic waste. Drop one tablet in for every 2000 L of fluid, and treat the tank within 3 months of start-up to get the system off to a flying start and help prevent blockages.

When the tablet dissolves, the bacteria and enzymes are released into the tank. They break down proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and turn solids into liquid that the system can process. A single tablet is the right buy for a small tank, such as our 600 L septic tank, where a full tub would be more than you need.

Where it works

Use it on a new septic tank at a farm cottage, a site office, a guard house or a small lodge. A new tank starts with no bacteria in it, so the tablet shortens the time the system takes to work properly.
