It also suits drain and conduit work on building sites. Note that it contains PVC softening solvents, so it is not suitable for soft or flexible PVC, and it will not bond polythene or polypropylene. Questions about this product

Will this glue work on polythene or polypropylene pipe?

No. It is a solvent cement for rigid PVC and ABS and will not bond polythene or polypropylene. It also is not meant for soft, flexible PVC. For polyethylene pipe use a compression or insert-style fitting instead, and keep this tin for rigid PVC pipework only.

What is the difference between low-pressure and high-pressure cement?

Low-pressure cement is for pool pipes, outlet pipes, conduits and gutters. High-pressure cement is for irrigation, drinking-water, gas, sewage and industrial pipes. Tell us your job when you order, whether it is a pool, a borehole line or a sewer, so we can confirm the right type for you.
