Description

Overview

The M-100 is a 4″ positive displacement bulk fuel flowmeter that measures from 130 up to 1700 L/min, the largest model in the M-series (BT-M100). Its cast aluminium body houses a displacement element that counts fixed volumes, driving a mechanical totalising register on top.

It is rated to 10.5 bar and the supplier quotes ±0.2% accuracy once the meter is calibrated on site. The register can carry a ticket printer for dockets and a pulser for a fuel management system. At 72 kg net it is a crane or three-person lift, so plan solid pipe supports on both sides and leave room above the register to read it and change tickets.

Where it works

A bulk fuel flowmeter this size belongs on rail and road tanker offloading at fuel depots, bulk diesel receipt at Limpopo and Northern Cape mines, and large fleet yards that take full tanker loads. Questions about this product

Can the M-100 be used for petrol?

Not as standard. The M-100 is set up for diesel, biodiesel, paraffin and fuel oils. Petrol and chemicals need different seals and a properly rated installation. Tell us the product, flow and line pressure and we will specify the right meter, or confirm whether this one can be built for your fluid.

How do I offload the M-100 when it arrives?

It comes crated at just under 100 kg, so plan a forklift, a bakkie crane or three strong people on site when our truck arrives. Keep the meter upright in its crate until you are ready to install it, and lift it by the body, never by the register.

Do you deliver to Lephalale, and what does it cost?

Yes. Our own trucks run from Polokwane to all nine provinces, normally in 1 to 3 days, and Lephalale is on the route. The M-100 meter weighs about 97 kg packed, so on its own it falls in the 60 to 100 kg band (R1,450). Because the price is above R20,000, delivery on this order is free.
