Description

Overview

The M-80 preset is a preset flowmeter on the 3″ M-80 positive displacement body: the operator dials in the volume needed, opens the line, and the preset valve closes when that volume has passed. It measures 75 to 1150 L/min on a mechanical totalising register.

Batch control takes the guesswork out of loading. Instead of a driver watching the counter and shutting a valve by hand, the meter does it, which cuts overfills on tanker compartments and generator day tanks.

The body is cast aluminium rated to 10.5 bar, and the register runs without power. It weighs about 53 kg before crating, so plan lifting gear, pipe supports and a strainer with air eliminator upstream.

How does the preset function work?

You set the required volume on the preset dial and open the delivery. As the meter counts down to the target, the preset valve closes and stops the flow. The driver no longer has to watch the register and shut the valve by hand, which saves fuel lost to overfills and spills.

Is the M-80 preset heavier than the standard M-80?

No. It is based on the same 53 kg body and the listed weights match the standard M-80. It ships crated at around 78 kg, which is still in the 60 to 100 kg delivery band. Plan a forklift or lifting tackle on site to install it.
