Overview

The 20 mm compact PVC ball valve is a threaded shut-off valve for the most common pipe size on household pressure pumps, tank outlets and garden and farm supply lines. It has BSP threads, a quarter-turn handle and a maximum pressure of 16 bar, and the compact body fits into tight spots next to pumps, filters and manifolds.

Because it is PVC, it does not rust, it is light, and it is cheap enough to fit at every branch so you can isolate a section without draining the whole system.

Where it works

Use it on pump inlets and outlets, ahead of a filter, at tank outlets and at the start of each irrigation line on Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Western Cape farms. In pool and pond plumbing it isolates a pump or skimmer line. Seal the thread with PTFE thread seal tape, and turn the nut or fitting by hand and then a little further, so the plastic thread is not stressed.
