Overview
A reusable hose breakaway is a safety coupling in a dispenser hose that can be pushed back together after it has parted, instead of being thrown away like a single-use unit.
This 3/4″ model is made for retail dispensers. When you reconnect it, the halves seal on an O-ring before the internal poppet valves open, which keeps fuel from escaping during the reset. That is the point of the dry-style action: fuel stays inside the line until the joint is tight.
It costs more than the single-use 3/4″ NPT hose breakaway with cover, but a forecourt that has regular driveaways will earn that back in coupling replacements. The supplier does not state a separation force for this model, so ask us if your installation needs a specific figure.

Yes. It is designed to be reconnected. Inspect the O-ring and halves, push the coupling back together, and it reseals before the poppets open. Single-use breakaways must be replaced instead. Call us with your set-up and we will confirm it before you order.
