Overview

This 4 inch composite fuel hose is a 4.5 m petroleum transfer hose with 4″ male ends fitted on both sides. The male threads let you screw on whatever your site uses: camlock adaptors, valves, flanges or a coupling to suit the tanker. It is the flexible link between a tanker, a pump and a storage tank on bulk fuel jobs.

If you offload by gravity from tanker outlets, the 100 mm hose with Barret coupling saves you an adaptor. For drive-off protection on the same line, add a 4″ breakaway coupling. Lengths of 6 m and 8 m are also available, priced on request.

Where it works

Tanker operators in Gauteng and KZN, mine fuel bays in Limpopo, and large farms with bulk storage use a 4 inch composite fuel hose on suction and delivery lines of PTO pumps. It also suits transfer between storage tanks during cleaning or relocation. Keep the threads capped when not in use so grit does not damage the seals. Can I get it longer than 4.5 m?

Yes, 6 m and 8 m versions are also made with the same construction and ends. The 6 m weighs about 34 kg and the 8 m about 45 kg, so both move into the 30 to 60 kg delivery band at R950. Ask us for a price on the longer lengths.

Will it work on the suction side of a pump?

Yes. The wire helix in composite hose keeps the bore open under suction, so it works on both the suction and delivery side of tanker and transfer pumps. Keep bends gentle, at least 360 mm radius, so the hose does not kink and starve the pump.
