0.75 kW Variable Speed Drive, 380 V Three-Phase, 2.5 A

Description

Overview

This 0.75 kW (1 HP) variable speed drive is a frequency inverter built for 380 V three-phase supplies, drawing a rated 2.5 A. It raises or lowers the speed of the pump motor by altering the frequency, so the pump delivers the duty the application needs at that moment. 380 V is the usual three-phase supply on South African farms and workshops. Browse the full range under pump controllers and VSDs.

Key features

• 0.75 kW / 1 HP rating
• 380 V, three-phase supply
• Rated current 2.5 A
• Alters frequency to speed up or slow down the pump motor
• Lets the pump match its duty to the job at hand
• Part of a range that runs from 0.75 kW up to 15 kW
• Pick the rating to match motor power, current and supply voltage

Where it works

A small 380 V three-phase pump on a farm, a workshop wash bay or a pressure booster set is the typical fit. Running the motor at the speed the job needs gives steadier pressure and smoother starts, and it can cut power use when full speed is not needed. Check that the motor is rated 0.75 kW or close to it, and that its current sits within the 2.5 A rating.

Related ratings: the 0.75 kW 220 V drive and the 1.5 kW 380 V drive. Not sure which one fits? Send us the motor nameplate and we will confirm.
