Overview
The MFD-50 is a complete explosion-proof mobile fuel unit: a 2.2 kW, 380 V three-phase motor drives a YB-50 2 inch vane pump, with an M-50 meter, a 10 m 2 inch hose reel and an MD-300 nozzle mounted on a trolley. It transfers up to 300 L/min, so you can fuel trucks, loaders or generators at the point of use. The supplier states an Ex d IIB T4 rating for the unit; ask us for the supporting documentation before you specify it for a hazardous area. At about 400 kg it is a substantial piece of equipment that needs a proper three-phase supply.

Questions about this product
Can the MFD-50 dispense petrol as well as diesel?
The unit is described as explosion-proof for diesel and petrol, with an Ex d IIB T4 rating stated by the supplier. Never use a standard non-Ex pump on petrol. Before you use it in a classified area, ask us for the rating documentation and have your site safety officer confirm it suits your zone.
What power supply does it need?
It runs on 380 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz and has a 2.2 kW motor, so a normal single-phase wall plug will not do. Use a three-phase supply or a correctly sized three-phase generator, allowing for start-up load. This matters on farms and remote sites with load-shedding, so tell us your supply when you enquire.
How is freight quoted for something this heavy?
The unit ships at 440 kg, well over the 100 kg point where delivery is by quotation instead of a fixed band. Tell us your town or farm and we will quote delivery by our own truck from Polokwane, normally 1 to 3 days. Orders of R20,000 VAT incl. or more qualify for free delivery.
