The Unitwist Straight Coupler 22mm (model UT2000B) joins two lengths of 22mm Unitwist Monogold pipe end to end, using a push-fit and compression joint. It is made from PPR plastic, works on hot and cold water and is the right size for main feeds and larger branches. Kamano delivers it nationwide from Polokwane.

The 22mm size carries more water than the 15mm line, so it is the one you reach for on a tank outlet, a borehole feed or the main supply into a house or shed. The joint is simple: cut the pipe square, push it into the coupler and tighten by compression. No special tools are needed, which keeps repairs quick when a line is cut by a spade or a stray vehicle. The supplier quotes a design life of 50 years for the Unitwist system. Match it to 22mm pipe only, and use the reducing coupler if you need to step down to 15mm.
