Overview

This is a plastic garden tap in PPR, size 22 mm x 3/4 inch, built to survive years of kids, gardeners and thieves. The supplier states that it is SABS approved. Because there is no brass in it, there is nothing for scrap thieves to take, which matters on farms, schools, clinics and municipal sites where brass taps vanish.

Two features stop common failures. A clutch prevents over-tightening from crushing the washer, and a pressure release function opens to relieve pressure, including when water in the pipe is freezing on cold Free State and Eastern Cape nights.

Where it works

Use it on farm yards, stand pipes, school and clinic grounds, rental properties, tank stands and stock-water points.
