Superflo Q160 Pool Sand Filter, 4-Bag, 610 mm Tank, 6-Way Valve

Description

Overview

The Superflo Q160 is a 4-bag sand filter for swimming pools up to about 80,000 litres, supplied with its 6-position multiport valve. The valve gives you filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed from one handle, so cleaning the bed does not mean moving any pipework.

The 610 mm tank holds 160 kg of filter sand, bought separately as four 40 kg bags. It is sized for a 1.1 kW pool pump, which is the usual step up from the 3-bag filter when the pool is bigger or the swimmer load is heavier.

Where it works

A 4 bag pool sand filter is the right size for larger family pools, double-volume pools and small lodge or school pools. In the Free State and North West, where dust and wind-blown debris load the water quickly, the extra sand volume gives you longer runs between backwashes. If you are between sizes, send us your pool volume in litres and we will confirm the filter and pump before you order. Smaller pools suit the 3-bag Superflo Q120, and the whole range is in our pool and pond pumps category. For the 1.1 kW pump, look at the Galaxy 19 pool pump.
