Superflo Q120 Pool Sand Filter, 3-Bag, 565 mm Tank, 6-Way Valve

Description

Overview

The Superflo Q120 is a 3-bag sand filter for home swimming pools up to about 50,000 litres, supplied with a 6-position multiport valve already fitted. Water is cleaned as it passes through the sand bed, and a single handle on the valve switches between filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed.

The tank is 565 mm in diameter and holds 120 kg of filter sand, which you buy separately as three 40 kg bags. Match it with a 0.75 kW pool pump for the flow this filter is designed around.

Key features

• 3-bag sand filter for pools up to about 50,000 litres
• 6-position multiport valve included, so one handle runs every cleaning mode
• 565 mm tank diameter, compact enough for a small equipment pad
• Takes 120 kg of filter sand, three 40 kg bags, not included
• Recommended pump size: 0.75 kW
• Manufacturer model code 520-1000

Where it works

This is a family-pool filter. It suits the mid-sized pools common in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal suburbs, as well as guest-house and lodge pools in Limpopo and Mpumalanga. Backwash regularly in summer, when swimmer load and leaf fall are highest. If you are unsure whether a pool sand filter 3 bag size is right for your water volume, send us your pool size in litres and your pump size and we will confirm before you order. Larger pools should look at the 4-bag Superflo Q160, and the full range sits in our pool and pond pumps category. A 0.75 kW partner is the Galaxy 16 pool pump.
