PVC Solvent Union with O-Ring, 20 to 50 mm

Description

Overview

A PVC union is a three-part coupling that you can unscrew and reconnect. Cemented onto two pipe ends, it gives you a joint that comes apart for maintenance, which a plain socket cannot do.

This solvent-weld union comes with an O-ring and is made for PVC pressure pipe on pool, pond, irrigation and plumbing systems. It is available in five sizes, 20 mm to 50 mm, and sits with sockets, valves and cement in our pipe fittings range.

Key features

• Detachable joint for PVC pressure pipe
• O-ring seal included
• Solvent-weld ends
• Lets you remove pumps, filters or valves without cutting pipe
• Suits pools, ponds, irrigation and plumbing
• Five sizes from 20 mm to 50 mm

Where it works

Fit a union either side of a pump, filter or valve so the part can be lifted out without a hacksaw. Pool installers use them on pump and filter plant, irrigation crews in the Western Cape use them at filter stations, and Gauteng plumbers fit them at geysers and booster sets. Pair the union with a PVC solvent socket for the pipe run and a PVC non-return valve to protect the pump.
