Overview

This is a beige rubber spare gasket for pool flow inlet fittings, made to restore a watertight seal between the fitting and the pool wall. A worn gasket is a common source of slow water loss around return fittings, and this one costs very little to replace. It is a gasket only: the white pool flow inlet fitting is sold separately.

Where it works

Fit it at the return line of a residential pool whenever you service the inlet, replace a cracked fitting or notice damp around the wall fitting. Pool builders and handymen in Gauteng and the Western Cape keep a few in the bakkie for call-outs.

If you are rebuilding the line, add the matching flow inlet at the same time. Check the old gasket for hardening and cracks before refitting.
