Description
Overview
This 4-compartment pneumatic control block operates the foot valves on a four-compartment road tanker using compressed air. It is the smaller sibling of the 6-compartment block, with the same aluminium body style, 6 mm push-in air line fittings and 0.3 to 0.6 MPa working pressure (3 to 6 bar). The stated temperature range is -20 to +50 C. The supplier lists the same weight as the larger block, so we show a slightly lower figure for this one and treat it as approximate. Match the block to the number of compartments on your tanker, not the tanker’s capacity.
Key features
- Four compartment controls in one aluminium block
- 6 mm push-in air line fittings
- Working pressure 0.3 to 0.6 MPa (3 to 6 bar)
- Operating temperature -20 to +50 C
- Compact at 270 x 140 x 70 mm, net weight about 2.5 kg
Where it works
Four-compartment tankers are common on mid-size fuel distribution runs: depot to forecourt in Gauteng and KZN, or farm and mine deliveries out of Polokwane into Limpopo and Mpumalanga. The block sits in the air circuit and gives the operator independent control over each compartment. For six-compartment rigs use the 6-compartment control block. You may also need a API male coupler without handle for the loading side. Everything else is under fuel station accessories.

Questions about this product
How do I choose between the 4 and 6 compartment block?
Count the compartments on your tanker and buy the block with that many controls. This one is for four. The 6-compartment block has the same air line size and working pressure but more controls. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your existing block on WhatsApp.
What air line fits this control block?
It takes 6 mm push-in air lines, so you push the tube in to connect and use the release collar to remove it. Working pressure is 0.3 to 0.6 MPa, or 3 to 6 bar. Have a competent technician fit and test the block before the tanker goes back on the road.
How much is delivery to a depot in Bloemfontein?
At 2.7 kg this block is in our first band: R550 for total orders up to 30 kg. Orders from R20,000 VAT incl. ship free. Our own trucks run from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, including the Free State.
