Description
Overview
This 20 L stainless steel measuring jug is the working size for checking diesel and petrol dispensers, and it also suits smaller bowser meters. It is graduated every 20 ml in grade 3 with a 0.1% tolerance, and the opening is 80 mm. Run a measured amount from the pump into the jug, read the level against the graduations, and compare it with what the meter says. It is twice the volume of the 10 L jug, which means fewer fills for a test at higher flow, and still light enough for one person to carry at 5.6 kg empty.

Where it works
Forecourt operators in Gauteng and the Western Cape use a 20 L jug for the monthly dispenser check, and farm workshops in Limpopo and the Free State use it to verify bowser meters. Municipal depots and mine fuel bays in Mpumalanga keep one for routine audits. If you need a small measure, compare the 10 L stainless steel measuring jug. For bulk meter proving, the 200 L proving measure is the next step up. More parts sit in our fuel station accessories range.

Questions about this product
Should I buy the 10 L or the 20 L jug?
Choose the 10 L for small dispenser checks and easy handling, and the 20 L when you test higher-flow pumps or want fewer fills per test. Both are grade 3 with a 0.1% tolerance. The 20 L has 20 ml graduations; the 10 L has 10 ml graduations, so it reads finer on small volumes.
How do I check a pump with a measuring jug?
Place the jug on level ground, dispense a set volume into it, let the foam settle, then read the level against the graduations and compare it with the meter. Repeat a few times and note the average. If the error is outside your allowance, have the meter adjusted by a qualified technician.
What does delivery cost to a farm in the Eastern Cape?
At 7.6 kg this jug is in the first band: R550 for total orders up to 30 kg. Orders from R20,000 VAT incl. ship free. Our own trucks deliver from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, and we confirm timing for remote farm addresses.
