Description

Overview

The OGM-40 pulse output flowmeter is a 1.5″ oval-gear meter that sends a pulse signal instead of showing a local reading. It is made to feed a remote display, a PLC or a fuel management system, so the litres are counted where you want them rather than at the pipe.

The oval gears are positive displacement, accurate to ±0.5% with repeatability of 0.03% or better, and the pulser gives a reed or Hall switch output. Your controller counts the pulses and converts them to litres. The pulses-per-litre figure and the pulser supply details are not on our data sheet, so ask us before you size the receiving equipment and we will confirm them.

Does this flowmeter have a display on it?

No. It sends a pulse signal to a remote display, controller or PLC and has no local readout. If you want to read litres at the meter, choose the electronic or mechanical OGM-40 instead.

What does the pulse output connect to?

It connects to any counter, PLC or fuel management unit that accepts a reed or Hall switch pulse. We do not list the pulses per litre here, so ask us and we will confirm before you order.

Can I use it for petrol?

No. This is a standard meter for diesel, biodiesel, kerosene, paraffin and light non-corrosive oils. For petrol you need an explosion-proof unit, so contact us and we will advise.
