Overview

This bulk flowmeter register is the mechanical counter head for the M-40, M-50 and M-80 meters, supplied with its gear plate. It sits on top of the meter body and shows each delivery on a 5-digit reset counter, with a totaliser alongside that keeps the running figure for stock control.

Registers take the knocks on a working site: a dropped hose nozzle, a cracked window, water in the works or a worn drive. Replacing the head brings the meter back into service without buying a whole new meter body.

It runs purely mechanically, so it suits tankers, bowsers and remote tanks where there is no power. At 4 kg it is a simple bench or on-site swap.

Questions about this product

Do I need to recalibrate after fitting a new register?

Yes, check it. The register only counts what the meter body tells it, but any change in the drive can shift the reading slightly. After fitting, run a known volume into a proving can or use a calibrator, and adjust the meter if needed. Record the result if you use the meter for sales.

Which code do I order for my meter?

Tell us whether your meter is an M-40, M-50 or M-80 and we will send the matching register: BT-M40R, BT-M50R or BT-M80R. The nameplate on the meter body shows the model. If the plate is missing, measure the pipe connection size, 1.5", 2" or 3", and we will work it out.

Do you deliver to Modimolle, and what does it cost?

Yes. Our own trucks run from Polokwane to all nine provinces, normally in 1 to 3 days, and Modimolle is on the route. The register weighs about 5.5 kg packed, so on its own it falls in the up to 30 kg band (R550). Add enough to reach R20,000 including VAT and the whole order ships free.
