Overview

A fuel meter calibrator is a small adjustment part used to bring a fuel meter or dispenser back into line, so the volume shown on the display matches the volume that actually leaves the nozzle. It is a spare for forecourts, farm fuel points and workshops that run their own metered dispensers.

Calibration is done by drawing a known quantity from the dispenser into a certified test measure and comparing it with the display. If the two differ, the meter is adjusted and the test is repeated until they agree. Keep a record of each check with the date, as customers, auditors and the owner will want to see it.
