Description

Overview

The 80 mm camlock Part A is the male adaptor half of a cam-and-groove quick coupling: it screws onto pipework, a tank outlet or a hose tail and locks into a Part D coupler in seconds, with no tools. It is cast aluminium with a female BSP thread, sized 3″ (80 mm).

Order it together with the matching 80 mm camlock Part D if you do not already have the mating half. For another size, see the 65 mm camlock Part A.

Camlock joints seal on a gasket in the female coupler, so inspect it for cracks and flat spots before you make up the joint, and use thread sealant on the BSP thread when you screw the fitting onto pipework. Keep both halves clean, because grit on the groove or gasket is the usual cause of weeping joints. Always pair halves of the same size and keep dust caps on fittings that are not in use.

What is the difference between camlock Part A and Part D?

Part A is the male adaptor and Part D is the female coupler with cam arms. They lock together to form a sealed joint, so you need one of each in the same size. This 80 mm Part A mates only with an 80 mm Part D.

Do I need the matching Part D as well?

Yes, pair a Part A with a Part D of the same size. If you already have the 80 mm Part D on your hose or tank, you only need this adaptor. If not, order both halves so the joint can be made up on site.
