Overview

The 25 mm compact PVC ball valve suits 1 inch plumbing, the size of many borehole pump outlets, pressure pump set-ups and irrigation sub-mains. It has BSP threads and a quarter-turn handle, and is rated to a maximum of 16 bar.

The plastic body does not rust and is light enough to hang off a manifold without extra support. Put one on each branch and you can isolate a filter, pump or sprinkler block without shutting down the rest.

Where it works

Fit it at a borehole headworks in Limpopo or the Northern Cape, at a pump discharge on a Free State farm, ahead of a filter bank in a KwaZulu-Natal nursery, or on a pool plant room line. Use PTFE tape from our thread seal tape pack on the male thread and take care not to crack the plastic by overtightening.
