Overview

At 9.2 kW this 6 inch water-filled borehole motor is built for pump ends that lift water from deeper holes or push it further uphill. It runs on 380 V three-phase power and comes with 6 m of motor lead. If the windings ever burn out, a water-filled motor can usually be rewound instead of scrapped.

The 9.2 kW motor is matched to the SP17-14, SP17-16, SP30-9, SP30-10, SP46-06 and SP60-05 pump ends and is rated to 35 bar.

Where it works

Deep irrigation boreholes in the Western Cape fruit and vineyard belt, Northern Cape stock farms and Limpopo citrus blocks are typical homes for this size. It also drives municipal borehole pumps feeding reservoirs on a hill, and it works on mine service water.

Use a 30Y intelligent pump controller to protect it from dry-running and overload; the 30Y covers 5.5 to 15 kW.
