8 Inch Water-Filled Borehole Motor, 45 kW, 380 V Three-Phase

Description

Overview

This is a 45 kW, 8 inch water-filled submersible borehole motor for 380 V three-phase supplies, the standard 380 V drive for the larger pump ends on irrigation and municipal boreholes. It comes with 6 m of motor lead. Because the windings run in water, it can usually be rewound if it burns out, which is normally cheaper than a new motor at this size.

Fitted to the right pump end it forms the complete 45 kW set, and it is matched to the 10SP135/3, 10SP135/4, 10SP135/4A, 10SP160/3, 8VP 80-12 and 8VP 98-10 pump ends.

Where it works

These motors go on irrigation boreholes in the Free State and Northern Cape, municipal supply schemes, and mine water pumps, usually as a replacement when an older motor has burnt out or been flooded. Always match the motor power and voltage to your pump end and supply. If you are not sure, send us your pump model and we will confirm.

A starter panel, soft starter or VSD is not included, so have your electrician size one for 45 kW. See all borehole pumps and motors. Need 525 V instead? Choose the 45 kW 525 V version. To build a set around it, look at the 8VP 80-12 pump.
