Overview

At 75 kW this is the largest water-filled borehole motor we list, an 8 inch submersible unit for 380 V three-phase supplies. It comes with 6 m of motor lead and is built to drive the highest-lift pump ends. The windings run in water, so a burnt motor can usually be rewound, and on a unit this size that often saves a serious amount against a new motor.

It is matched to the 10SP135/6, 10SP135/7, 10SP160/5, 10SP160/6, 8VP 80-20 and 8VP 98-17 pump ends.

Where it works

These motors drive pumps on deep irrigation boreholes in the Western Cape and Free State, municipal wellfields feeding hilltop reservoirs, and mine dewatering on a 380 V network. Typical orders are replacements for a motor that tripped out, flooded or ran dry.

Match motor power and voltage to your pump end and supply before you order. A starter panel, soft starter or VSD is not included, so have your electrician size one for 75 kW. Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, including Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Upington, Gqeberha and Pretoria.
