Overview

This 5000 L vertical diesel tank is a stationary tank for diesel or compatible chemicals, rated to 1.4 specific gravity. It is model V5000M, rotationally moulded from virgin LLDPE in yellow, 1800 mm in diameter and 2150 mm high. It is the size most farms choose for a season of tractor fuel.

It comes ready to plumb, with a 40 mm red connector at the top for the inlet, a 40 mm red connector at the base for the outlet, and fuel seals supplied. A 450 mm lid gives access for filling and cleaning. Tanks of this type are used wherever diesel arrives by tanker and is drawn off by a pump.

Where it works

Limpopo and Free State farmers use a tank this size beside the workshop to fuel tractors and combines. Contractors in Gauteng and the North West keep one at the site yard, and municipalities use it for generator and plant fuel. Place it on a flat, compacted base with enough height and width for the 1800 x 2150 mm tank. Secure it once it is full. A stand is not included. Never use it for petrol.
