Overview

The 4ST1/38 is a 4 inch stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump from the Vega 4ST1 range, with a maximum head of 253 m and up to 1.5 m³/h (25 L/min) at lower heads. At 10 L/min it still produces 208 m of head. This 1.1kw 4 inch borehole pump runs on a 1.1 kW oil-filled motor and fits boreholes with an internal diameter of 100 mm or more.

To size it, add the depth to the water level, the height up to your tank and about 10% for pipe friction. At 10 L/min this one suits a water level of roughly 175 m with 10 m of lift above ground. Send us your borehole details if you are unsure.

Where it works

Which 4ST1/38 option do I need for my power supply?

Choose the 220 V single-phase sets or the 380 V three-phase set with Y1 controller for your supply. The analogue box is the basic starter and the 20Y adds dry-run protection. Only the options listed under Options apply to this model, and the prices shown include VAT. Send us your supply details if you are unsure which set to order.

How deep can I set the 4ST1/38 in my borehole?

Add the depth to your water level, the height up to your tank and about 10% for friction. At 10 L/min this pump gives 208 m, which suits a water level of roughly 175 m with 10 m of lift above ground. Its shut-off head is 253 m. Deeper than that, you need a higher-head pump.

Do the sets come with cable and delivery pipe?

No. Submersible cable, rope, delivery pipe and the base plate are not included in any option, so add those to your order or supply them yourself. Each set includes only the pump end, motor and controller listed under its option, and the pump end option is the wet end alone.
